Mass of the Holy Spirit and Thanksgiving Celebration
The Order of Malta Philippines was blessed with 125 volunteer emergency doctors, nurses, and medical technicians who provided their expertise, time, and effort during first aid and medical missions conducted and/or organized by the Order. To give thanks for their ineffable service, The Order organized a mass of the Holy Spirit and thanksgiving celebration for the volunteers last January 24, 2015.
The Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Fr. Manuel Abogado III, Minister on Health Care of the Archdiocese of Manila.
The Order of Malta Philippines volunteers were also awarded certificates of appreciation for providing their service during the recent Papal visit held in SM Mall of Asia, Manila Cathedral, and Quirino Grandstand. The certificates were distributed by Dr. Leopoldo H. Lazatin, President of the Order of Malta Philippines, and members of the Order, Doña Delza V. Lazatin and Hospitaller Doña Maria del Carmen Carag-Harada.
Present were partners of the Order of Malta Philippines: Manila Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, San Juan De Dios Hospital, San Martin De Porres Charity Hospital, St. John of God Polyclinic; volunteer doctors from San Lazaro Hospital; Philippine Society of Emergency Medical Technicians; Pilipinas 911 Ambulance Services, and other private practitioners.
