Order of Malta

Malteser International Head for Asia and Haiti Roland Hansen, together with Dr. Mel Capistrano, disaster reduction risk expert of Malteser International in Myanmar visited Philippines from September 13-20, 2011. They inspected the projects in the 2 villages of Coroz and Pasdong in Benguet. In appreciation of the water system donated by Malteser, the Ibaloi tribe in Coroz, Tublai, Benguet gave a fiesta for the visitor and the Order of Malta members: Her Excellency Ambassador Mercedes Tuason, Ambassador of the Philippines to Holy See and to Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Doña Delza Lazatin, Doña Josephine Bantug, Doña  Ma. Del Carmen Haraga, Doña Odelia Arroyo, Dr. Jaime Lapus, Don Ramon Prieto, Don Antonio Montinola, Dr. Leopoldo Lazatin. Fr. Felimon William, Social Action Director of the Diocese of Baguio, Mayor Ruben Paoad of Tublay together with his Vice Mayor Armando Lauro, Councilors and Barangay officers also attended the affair to thank Roland Hansen and the Order of Malta for this humanitarian relief project in Coroz.
