Empowering Communities: Disaster Risk Reduction Management Initiatives

Beyond the established project indicators, the OMP, with a foresight for community welfare, extended comprehensive Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) training to local communities. Deploying informative leaflets as educational tools, the initiative reached 682 households, providing crucial information, education, and communication (IEC) materials to fortify them with knowledge for effective disaster preparedness.

This forward-thinking approach positioned the OMP as a key player in not only addressing immediate needs but also in equipping communities with the tools and knowledge to navigate potential challenges independently. The DRRM initiatives became a cornerstone of community empowerment, ensuring that residents were not merely recipients of aid but active participants in their own resilience and preparedness.
