Through the efforts of the late Don Antonio R. Infante, GCMG and Father Patrick Peyton of the Family Rosary Crusade, the Program was conceived in 1985 with an initial shipment of donations of food supplement, medicines, medical supplies, and other relief goods from AmeriCares Foundation of the United States of America. Since that first shipment to the country, successive shipments were received up to the present and thus, a Medical Distribution Committee had been created to handle this task. PASMOM was able to build up a network consisting of parish centers and clinics, hospitals with charity wards, sanitarium, medical mission groups, and other non-government organizations that provide an integrated program for the sick and needy. More than 1,200 recipients were served ever since the start of the program and subsequently millions of sick persons have already benefited.
