The dream of the Order of Malta Philippines to have a chapel is now a reality. On October 7, 2011, with members and friends of the Order, His Eminence Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, DD, Archbishop of Manila, blessed the chapel. We acknowledge most especially the late Don Romeo S. Villonco and Doña Tersita T. Liboro for their donations for the completion of the chapel. Likewise, the following members: the late Doña Macaria de Leon whose family-owned carved mahogany altar piece “retablo” was donated by their children, Mary and Joe Vincent; Don Ernesto B. Rufino, Jr. and Doña Josefina P. Rufino for the silver tabernacle; Doña Ma. Victoria A. Concepcion for the air-conditioning of the chapel; Don Miguel and Doña Alice T. Guerrero for the stained glass Stations of the Cross; Dr. Jaime V. Lapus for the crucifix; Don Roberto R. Novenario for the chandeliers; Doña Josephine E. Bantug for the restoration of the pews; and other member donors; Don Antonio and Doña Harada and from associates and friends of the Order namely: Mr. William-A Mialhe de Burgh, Mr. Imanol Cazales y Miranda and the International Bazaar Foundation.
